ED nabs Hyderabad doctor involved in illegal surrogacy racket

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested a doctor from Hyderabad for allegedly running an illegal surrogacy racket. The doctor was produced before the court, which has remanded her to judicial custody till February 26.
The federal financial fraud probing agency had initiated its investigation into the matter stemming from multiple FIRs filed by the Gopalapuram Police Station, Hyderabad over allegations of fraud, cheating, criminal conspiracy, illegal surrogacy and child trafficking.
It has been revealed that the fertility & research centre was providing childless couples with new born babies on the basis of a surrogacy racket that the accused doctor had orchestrated through her clinic along with her employees and agents.

ED attaches properties worth Rs 26 86 cr in Sowbhagya Ispat Bank fraud case

New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Hyderabad Zonal Office, on Friday said it has attached immovable properties worth Rs 26.86 crore in connection with a bank fraud case involving Sowbhagya Ispat India Pvt. Ltd. (SIIPL).
The attached properties include residential flats, a residential house, and open plots of land.
