ED files charge sheet against 3 in environment pollution case in Jaipur

New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday said that it has filed ‘Prosecution Complaint’ under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against three before Jaipur PMLA Court in a money laundering case relating to Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Environment (Protection) Act,1986.
The three accused were Agribiotech Industries Ltd of Sikar and its Managing Directors namely Girdhar Gopal Bajoria and Ashutosh Bajoria.
The central financial probe agency took up the investigation under PMLA on the basis of two criminal complaints filed by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Jaipur before the Srimadhopur Court of the Judicial Magistrate against Agribiotech Industries Ltd and it Managing Directors for the contravention of section 43 and 44 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act and section 24,25 and 26 of the Environment (Protection) Act.
