New Delhi, Feb19 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday continued its raid for the fifth consecutive day in connection with the Rs 11,2000-crore Punjab National Bank’s scam.
According to reliable sources in ED, search teams of the probe agency were raiding at 35 locations across the country. The raids were being conducted at 10 locations in Mumbai, two in Bihar, six in Ahmedabad, eight in Bengaluru, two each in Lucknow, Jalandhar and Hyderabad, Kishanganj and Muzaffarpur in Bihar and at Regal Jewellery in Dwarka area of Delhi.
The residential premises of main accused Nirav Modi at Samudra Mahal at Worli in Mumbai is also being thoroughly searched by the ED officials on Monday.
Diamond merchant Nirav Modi is allegedly involved in the over 11,000 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case which was unearthed in the second week of January and a complaint was registered by CBI on January 30.
