ED attaches assets worth Rs 277.97 Cr in a Multilevel Marketing fraud in Telangana

New Delhi,Sep 17 (UNI) Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth Rs 277.97 crore of EBIZ.COM Pvt Ltd’s directors and their family members under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in a pyramid style multi-level marketing fraud case, an official statement said here on Tuesday.
According to the ED, the attached assets include residential plots, apartments, farm houses and commercial buildings situated in Delhi and Noida and balances in bank accounts belonging to Pawan Malhan and Anita Malhan, both Directors of the said company, their family members and other associates.
The central agency during its probe, has so far identified and attached 29 immovable properties purchased at a cost of Rs 34.60 crore and also attached bank balances amounting to Rs 242.25 crore lying in 124 accounts maintained in the name of the company, its two Directors and their family members and associates. The total value of attached properties worth Rs 277.97 crore vide Provisional Attachment Order on Monday.
