ED arrests Director of Gujarati Daily under PMLA in Ahmedabad

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Friday said it has arrested the Director of a Gujarati daily newspaper, under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 in a case related to cheating and forgery from Ahmedabad.
According to the ED, arrested accused PVS Sarma was a Director of Sanket Media Pvt Ltd, which publishes Satyam Times in both Gujarati and English language.
He has been arrested for laundering the proceeds generated out of criminal offences through the company Sanket Media Pvt Ltd and the agency got his custody till December 2 for interrogation from the Ahmedabad PMLA Court.
