ECoR targets 500 MT freight loading by 2027

Bhubaneswar, Aug 15 (UNI) East Coast Railway (ECoR) has set a target to achieve 500 MT freight loading by 2027, its General Manager S K Srivastav said here while hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of the nation's 76th Independence Day on Monday..
Srivastav said Indian Railway has set a target to achieve 3,000 MT freight loading by 2027 and ECoR has been assigned a target of 500 MT to achieve the goal.
He said many infrastructure projects have been sanctioned to enhance the rail network and mobility by enabling port connectivity to hinterlands and industrial hubs. In addition empowered Gati Shakti units have been established in all divisions.
