ECoR takes lead in scrap disposal to safeguard environment

Bhubaneswar, Jul 16 (UNI) East Coast Railway(ECoR) has taken proactive steps for timely scrap disposal to keep the environment clean.

ECoR restarted the scrap disposal activity through e-auction in June immediately after unlock.

While in June total 11 e-auctions have been conducted, six e-auctions have been conducted till date in July.
Materials Management Department of East Coast Railway is doing e-auction through its dedicated IREPS (Indian Railways E-Procurement System) portal since 2013. More than 3,700 vendors are already registered in the portal.
In the last Financial Year, East Coast Railway disposed scrap which was about 34 per cent higher in value terms, than the target set by the Railway Board. This was highest ever scrap sale by East Coast Railway.

Kolkata, Aug 15 (UNI) Magnetic hyperthermia-mediated cancer therapy (MHCT), a non-invasive cancer treatment technique, involves the delivery and localisation of magnetic materials within the targeted tumour site followed by subsequent application of an alternating magnetic field (AMF), thereby generating heat at the tumour site.
