ECI approves R N Dhoke as Punjab Police Nodal Officer for LS elections

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has approved the name of ADGP, Punjab Police Mr. R N Dhoke as the Nodal Officer, Incharge election cell of Punjab Police in connection with General elections.

Divulging this here on Tuesday, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab, Mr S Karuna Raju said the orders concerning the appointment of Mr R N Dhoke have been issued by the ECI and a letter to this effect has been sent to the State Government.
Notably, before this, Mr V K Bhawra was discharging duties as the Nodal Officer of the Punjab Police for elections.

Srinagar, Jun 16 (UNI) Senior CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Sunday said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) should set-up more National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) examination centers in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region to accommodate aspirants, who otherwise have to face hardships and shell out a lot of money to appear for the test in other states.
