EC tightens poll watch: Verified signatures, anti-defacement squads active

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 13 (UNI) The Kerala State Election Commission has tightened election protocols ahead of the upcoming local body polls, issuing detailed directions on symbol allocation and campaign monitoring.
As per the latest notification, political parties must submit the signatures of their authorised officials—attested by state-level office bearers—while recommending election symbols for candidates.
These attested documents must be handed over to the District Election Officer, with a copy sent to the State Election Commission.

Hyd: War heroes remembered on Vijay Diwas

Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Hyderabad on Tuesday , to commemorate Vijay Diwas, marking the Indian Armed Forces' victory in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
Telngana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, Deputy chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA), were among the dignitaries who laid wreaths at the memorial.
