EC notice to Rahul: Cong delegation meets EC, says it should stay unbiased

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) Sharply reacting to the Election Commission's notice to its president-elect Rahul Gandhi for an interview to a Gujarati TV channel, the Congress on Wednesday accused the EC of following double standards and demanded that notices be issued to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal as they had violated Model Code of Conduct.
Talking to reporters here, Congress leader Anand Sharma, who was part of a Congress delegation which met the chief Election Commissioner, said, ''The Election Commission should stay unbiased. Prime Minister Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal have violated Model Code of Conduct again and again. The PM misused the FICCI platform to attack Congress. Notice should also be issued to them.''
The delegation of the Congress also included AICC media In charge Randeep Surjewala and AICC general secretary in charge for Gujarat Ashok Gehlot.
