Gangtok, Sep 22 ( UNI) Chief Minister,PS Tamang,has expressed delight on Saturday ,at Parliament passing the Women's Reservation bill. The bill empowering women is for reserving 33% of total seats in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.
'I am delighted to learn that both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha,have overwhelmingly passed the Women's Reservation bill,known as the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiyan'.This historic legislation aims to provide a remarkable 33% reservation to women in the Lower house and the Legislative Assemblies,' said Chief Minister.
CM Tamang,has expressed heartfelt debt of gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Central Government.He has also congratulated all the women of Sikkim and what he termed as 'our great nation Bharat Ma'.
