Kolkata, Feb 27 (UNI) Samsung, India’s one of the largest and most trusted brand launched its new range of air conditioners nationally as well as in West Bengal.
With some new entrant in the portfolio, Samsung is aiming to generate double revenue.
After launching the new range, Ankur Kapoor, Deputy General Manager, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung India said, "The inverter AC business in West Bengal has grown by 60 per cent last year whereas pan Indian growth was 25 per cent. AC industry has a CAGR of 15 per cent. Actually, AC has converted as a necessity rather than a luxury."
The Super Premium category introduces the Wind-Free technology which will be equipped with IoT, human motion detection and 23,000 micro holes. The range also consists of Convertible AC in Premium category which will allow the end-users to convert a 2-tonne machine to 1.5 tonnes in need with the press of a remote button. Following the same way, a 1.5-tonne machine could be converted to 1 tonne and 1 tonne could be to .8 tonnes.
"In 2019, one out of every five consumers bought five-star ACs in the state and we are expecting one of every three consumers to do the same", concluded Kapoor.
Samsung is also planning to add over 300 stores in West Bengal by the end of 2020.
