Mr Kovind said that India was in focus of entire world and it had now become 6th largest global economy and also on way to become 5th largest economy. Following sustained efforts made by the government, ranking of India in the report of "ease of doing business", prepared by World Bank had increased from 100th to 77th, an improvement of 23 rankings, he said adding that the new feat achieved by India in World Bank report would increase the opportunities for investment in the country.
President said that young technocrats should work hard to find out solutions of the problems being faced by the country and they should do quality research for the purpose Technocrats and Agriculture scientists should work together and help the farmers by local innovations, he said adding that such efforts would boost the potential of agriculture sector in national economy.
Mr Kovind recalled the great contributions made by scholars like Chanakya and Aryabhatta who were born in the great land of Bihar. Arithmetics, Trigonometry, Quadratic equation and Sine Table were among most important contributions made by Aryabhatta, which had opened new vista of mathematics and pure science, he noted.
