East Zone gets 48-run lead against North Zone

Chandigarh, Oct 30 (UNI) Riding on Prateek’s five-wicket haul (5 for 47 runs) and Abhishek’s knock of 59 runs, East Zone grabbed first innings lead of 48 runs on Day 1 of the two-day match played during the Under-19 Round Robin Cricket Tournament being organised by UT Cricket Association (UTCA) at the Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 26 here on Tuesday.
North Zone were bowled out for 167 runs in 38.2 overs in their first innings. Batting at number 4, Tushar hammered a 74-ball knock of 90 runs for North Zone. Prateek (5 for 47) and Anurag (3 for 24) gelled well to restrict North Zone to 167 runs.
In reply, East Zone were bowled out for 215 runs in 43.1 overs. Abhishek (59), Vishal Dhnakar (47) and Pratham Singh (42) were the main scorers for East Zone. East Zone lead by 48 runs.
