Shillong, Nov 16 (UNI) Expressing concern over incidences of fake news, Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma on Friday urged journalists of the state to earn the trust of society.
Addressing journalists at a seminar on the theme “Journalistic Ethics in the Digital Age,” organised by the Shillong Press Club to mark the National Press Day, Sangma said that digital world is dynamic and therefore, impossible to put a curb on it even as he added that the digital world must be harnessed by the media fraternity.
Expressing concern over incidences of fake news, the Chief Minister said that it is about being responsible with everything one does and it should start with the media and ends with it too.
