E-Vehicle transport policy on cards: HP Min

Tapovan, Dharamshala, Dec 13 (UNI) The new E-Vehicle Transport Policy is on the anvil to ply environment-friendly vehicles in the state, the Himachal Pradesh government told the state Assembly on Friday.
Replying to a Call Attention Motion brought by Congress member Vikaramaditya Singh under Rule 62 in the Assembly, Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur said the E-Vahan Policy is being framed by the government, which would reduce the air pollution in the state, as electric vehicles are being plied under this policy.
The state government is promoting transport through Rope-way and Escalators under the new initiative.
