Dy Chairman repressed sentiments of House: Cong

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) Raising questions over the Rajya Sabha proceedings, the Congress said the way BJP behaved in the Upper House on Sunday, has brought shame to the country's parliamentary democracy and alleged that Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh has suppressed the feelings of members and carried out the proceedings of the House.
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal adressing a joint press conference at night said that the government was not ready to listen to any opposition party, farmers and other allied leaders, including the Congress, on the farmers' bill.
He said it was the responsibility of the Deputy Chairman to care about the sentiment of the House, and keeping in view the feelings of the members he could have said that the ministers could answer the next day regarding the matter.
