Dutch Ambassador meets UP CM

Lucknow, Nov 14 (UNI) Dutch Ambassador to India Alphonsus Stoelinga on Tuesday led a delegation
that called on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The delegation had representatives from industries like environment, dairy, agriculture, agro-processing,
industrial development, animal husbandry, bio-fuel and grazing.

The envoy expressed the desire of companies from the Netherlands to invest in the state and also informed that a consulate of his country had been opened in Lucknow, which is also its first by his country anywhere in India.

The visiting dignitary also expressed hope that the consulate would help closer bonding between industries of both UP and Netherlands and that trade would also increase between the two.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the delegation about the various initiatives rolled out by his government to encourage industrial investment in the state.
He added that due to the new industrial policy, a conducive environment for investment had been ushered in UP and pointed out that sectors like infrastructure, agro-processing, tourism, dairy, electronics, agriculture and food processing, additional energy sources, civil aviation offering immense scope and opportunities of working together.

Mr Adityanath also extended an invitation to Netherlands to be the 'Partner State' in the proposed 'Global Investors Meet' early next year.

On the occasion, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Anoop Chandra Pandey apprised the delegation of various works being done to initiate and encourage investment in the state.
Also present during the meeting were Principal Secretary (Tourism) Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Amit Mohan Prasad, Principal Secretary (Dairy Development) Sudhir Bobade, Principal Secretary (Environment) Renuka Kumar) and other senior officers.
