Dutch actor Rutger Hauer passes away

Amsterdam, Jul 25 (UNI) Dutch actor Rutger Hauer breathed his last, at the age of 75, after a very short illness.
According to his official website, Rutger passed away peacefully at his Dutch home on Friday.
The actor's funeral was held on Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife Ineke ten Cate (50), and his daughter, actor Aysha Hauer.
He will be remembered for his role as Roy Batty, the leader of a group of renegade Replicants in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner (1982). He also acted in Batman Begins and HBO series True Blood.
The Dutch actor was well known for horror and vampire roles, starring as Van Helsing in Dracula 3D, and as the vampire Barlow in Salem's lot.
