Dust from major construction sites to be monitored closely to tackle air pollution in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) To tackle air pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Centre on Tuesday decided that dust from major construction sites will be monitored closely and any violation will be dealt with strictly.
Chairing a meeting on the issue of tackling air pollution here, Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Harsh Vardhan reiterated that the practice of holding regular meetings with the Ministers of National Capital Region (NCR), to ensure that all the activities on the ground are monitored closely, will be continued.
The meeting, which was also attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it was decided that Mechanised sweeping will be taken up on a large scale and all possible assistance will be provided to the MCDs by the Central Government for increasing the scope of mechanised sweeping.
