Chandigarh, Jan 25 (UNI) Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has congratulated the people on Republic Day.
In his message, Mr Chautala said Republic Day is celebrated as a festival of democracy as the Constitution of the country came into force on this day. He hoped that the freedom which our country has won and the Constitution which we have received as a blessing of democracy because of the sacrifices of our great leaders will continue to be strengthened.
He said the first sentence of the preamble of our constitution, 'We, the people of India', has maintained the confidence of citizens of India in democratic values since January 26, 1950. For India adorned with diverse colors, our forefathers laid a foundation in which the unity and integrity of the country, freedom of every person, brotherhood, equality and justice are contained which is the spirit of the Constitution, he added.
