Durgapur gang-rape medic survivor's friend and classmate held after interrogation

Durgapur, Oct 15 (UNI) Durgapur Medical College’s gang-rape survivor’s friend, identified as Wasef Ali, who was under the scanner since the crime surfaced on October 10 night, was finally arrested after interrogation, official sources said today.
With the arrest of medical student Wasef Ali last night, hours after the police reconstructed the crime scene at Parangunj forest near IQ City Medical College, six suspects have so far been arrested since October 11, Durgapur-Asansol Police Commissioner Sunil Chowdhary said.
"He (Wasef Ali) is not beyond our scanner, and his clothes will also be examined in the case. We will take action against him based on the evidence we gather during the investigation," Chowdhury told media.
