Duo of Medicos suspended for ragging, 6 issued notices at IGMC Shimla

Shimla, Dec 15 (UNI) Two senior MBBS students of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, have been suspended for three months and fined Rs 25,000 each in a ragging case, while six other students have been issued disciplinary notices, college authorities said.
Principal of IGMC Ms Sita Thakur told UNI that the incident occurred Saturday night when a junior MBBS student was allegedly called to a hostel late at night by second-year students and subjected to ragging for five to ten minutes. Despite the brief duration, the act was treated as serious misconduct.
The matter surfaced after security personnel noticed the two senior and four junior students (who are not staying in hostel) entered in the hostel through CCTV surveillance.
