Due to the Centre’s arbitrary, ill-planned policies, air travel has collapsed: Mah Congress.

Pune, Dec 5 (UNI) As IndiGo’s flight operations remained disrupted nationwide for the second consecutive day today, former MLA and Vice-President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Mohan Joshi today blamed the central government for collapse of the civil aviation sector across the country, alleging that its haste in implementation of aviation policies without any prior planning was causing tremendous distress to air travellers nationwide.
IndiGo’s flight operations remained disrupted nationwide for the second consecutive day, with more than 550 flights being cancelled. Hundreds of passengers were stranded at Pune and Mumbai airports. Some missed job interviews, some could not attend weddings, some could not meet seriously ill relatives, and many could not even reach for last-rites ceremonies, Joshi said.
Seeing all this, the policy-level failure of the central government and the Ministry of Civil Aviation is evident, he said added.
