DTC suffers revenue loss due to high rates of breakdowns

New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) The Delhi Transport Corporation's (DTC) revenue suffered due to cancellation of scheduled kilometers and high rates of breakdowns, the latest report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India said.
According to this report, which is on Revenue and Social and Economic Sectors (PSUs), the corporation’s fleet utilisation and vehicle productivity were low as compared to all India averages.
“The mandatory facilities envisaged under the urban bus safety guidelines of the Government of India were yet to be provided in the buses,” the report said.
