Drug peddler arrested, psychotropic substance recovered in Sopore

Baramulla, Jul 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district, a police spokesman said on Wednesday evening.
He said police established a check point at Shangergund and intercepted one person identified as Nasir Ahmad Khawaja resident of Seelo Sopore. During checking police recovered 143 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus and 12 bottles of Codeine from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Sopore , he said.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 184/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sopore and investigation in the matter has been initiated.
