Drizzle, winds in parts of Delhi bring some respite from heat

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Light drizzle, accompanied with winds, occurred in various parts of the national capital on Thursday evening, bringing some relief from the hot weather.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), in its evening forecast, said thunderstorm, accompanied with squall, are very likely at isolated places over Delhi and its neighbouring states Punjab and Haryana.

The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 26.1 degrees Celsius.

For Friday, the weather office has forecast thunderstorms, accompanied with gusty winds, in Delhi.

The minimum and the maximum temperatures are likely to hover at 28 and 42 degrees Celsius respectively.
