Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 17 (UNI) Drinking water shortage continues to be grim in Maharashtra's Marathwada region which has recorded average 125 mm rainfall only.
Aurangabad, Beed, Jalna and Osmanabad districts of Marathwada region are badly affected.
According to Divisional Commissioner officials sources, due to sparse rain, 2,263 water tankers are still supplying water to the 1,662 villages and 479 hamlets comprising 53.16 lakh populations in peak period of monsoon.
