Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Hyderabad has seized 652/95 grams of Gold, worth about Rs 24.61 lakhs at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad.
Based on specific intelligence, officers of the DRI, Hyderabad, intercepted a passenger who has arrived by Indigo Airlines Flight No.6E 1406 from Sharjah to Hyderabad on October14 at the arrival hall of RGIA, a DRI statement here said on Wednesday.
On examination it was found that, the passenger was wearing customised jeans in which gold in paste form was hidden and stitched in waist band and bottom hem area weighing 843 grams, which on further examination turned out to be having gold content of 652.95 grams.
