DRI seizes 30 pieces of gold worth rs 2.65 crore and arrests two persons in Siliguri

Siliguri, Sep 23 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 30 pieces of gold worth Rs 2.65 crore and arrested two persons in this connection here in Darjeeling district of West Bengal.
The DRI personnel on Tuesday intercepted a Hyundai i20 car at Siliguri and reportedly seized 4980 grams of gold and it was hidden inside the space beneath the front cabin lamp that was affixed to the roof adjacent to the front windscreen of the car, an official statement issued on Wednesday.
The two occupants of the car were based in Khidirpur in Kolkata and hail from Arra in Bihar.
