According to a statement here, Dr S Prasanna Kumar, a Physical Oceanographer, is a Chief Scientist and Head of Physical Oceanography Division at the National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, India.He hasmore than 30 years of experience in carrying out multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional studies of national andinternational importance. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from University of Kerala in 1978 and Master of Science in Physical Oceanography from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1980 by securing second rank.
