Dr Atwal leaves for UN to celebrate 125th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar

Chandigarh, Apr 14 (UNI) Dr Charnjit Singh Atwal, Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, left for UN Headquarters, New York to attend the Grand Celebrations of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar.
This is for the first time that such a grand honour is being accorded to any Indian leader at the UN Headquarters by celebrating his birth anniversary as a commemorative of his service to the global masses.
The event has been organised by Permanent Mission of India to United Nations at the Headquarters of UN, New York, US in association with Kalpana Saroj Foundation and Foundation for Human Horizons where Dr Atwal has been invited as Special Guest of Honour.
