New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) The Centre on Monday appointed Dr A P Maheshwari as the new Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), an Appointment Committee of the Cabinet(ACC) notification said here.
Dr Maheshwari, a 1984 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed to the post up to the date of his superannuation on February 28, 2021, the Personnel Ministry said in the order.
Prior to this assignment, he was Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry.
