New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday slammed the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations and the Aam Aadmi Party government, for recklessly dumping the Ganesh idols in Bhalswa and other landfill sites, hurting the religious sentiments of lakhs of people.
Later, under the leadership of DPCC working president Devender Yadav, Congress workers collected the Ganesh idols from the landfill sites and immersed them at a Chhath Ghat on Burari Road, Badli.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Yadav said, 'It was due to the irresponsible attitude of the administration that such violation of religious sentiments happened. Bhalswa was not the only landfill, but other landfill sites across Delhi also witnessed truck loads of Ganesh idols being dumped.
