DoT additional DGT inspects 5G use case lab at NIT Hamirpur

Hamirpur(HP), Jan 21 (UNI) Additional Director General of Telecommunications (Addl. DGT) and Joint Advisor Anil Kumar Gupta visited the 5G Use Case Lab at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur.
During his visit, he reviewed the lab's utilization, progress, and ongoing activities. Anil Kumar Gupta stated that the objective of the 5G Use Case Labs is to develop proficiency and engagement in 5G technologies among students and the academic community in higher education institutions. He explained that these labs provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with the opportunity to undertake projects in a real-world 5G environment and are also accessible to startups, MSMEs, and other companies in the vicinity of the institution.
He was accompanied by Sandeep Arya, Deputy Director General (Technology), DoT, and Ramesh Kumar, Assistant Director (Technology), DoT. They interacted with faculty members and students and observed the technical infrastructure and academic activities being conducted under the 5G ecosystem at the institute.
