Dominance of RSPB, AIP continue in semis of 4th Elite Women's National Boxing Championship

Kannur, Dec 7 (UNI) The dominance of Pugilists from Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), All India Police (AIP) and Haryana continued in the semifinals of the 4th Elite Women's National Boxing Championship held at Munadayad Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.
RSPB topped the final table with eight boxers followed by Haryana with five and AIP with three and one each from hosts Kerala, Assam, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh in the ten weight categories.
Renowned eight international pugilists including Junior Youth World champion Jyoti Gulia (51 kg), Internationals Sonia Chahal (57 kg), M Meena Kumari Devi (54 kg), Arjuna Awardee Kavita Chahal (81 plus kg), Former Youth World Champion Shasi Chopra (60 kg) and Ankushita Bora (64 kg), 2019 President Cup (Indonesia) gold medalist Monika (48 kg) and Indian Open gold medalist Bhagyabati Kachari (81 kg) entered into the final.
