Dol-Jatra celebrated in Bengal with traditional fervour

Dol-Jatra celebrated in Bengal with traditional fervour

Kolkata, Mar 28 (UNI) Setting aside the fear of Coronavirus, for the time being, West Bengal on Sunday celebrated 'Dol-Jatra' with traditional fervour, marking the triumph of good over evil, with vivid colours, traditional songs and dance.
While the colour festival is known as 'Holi' in other parts of the country, it is popular as 'Dol-Jatra' here. Cutting across age barriers people in all parts of the state participated in the annual fest.
However, the enthusiasm for the festival of colours seems to be lacklustre this year due to the threat of Coronavirus across the state. People have been advised to avoid mass gatherings to reduce mass events to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
