Documentary film Rooh traces essence of perfume

By Agraj Pratap Singh
New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) Rooh, a fictional documentary, tries to enlighten the audience about perfumes in India through stories based in Kannauj, also known as " city of fragrances".
A story unravels the life of seven people involved in the making of perfume.
Inspired by Lord Shiva, one person is trying to capture the holiness inside a bottle for over three years. He is using as many as 32 ingredients based on the life of Lord Shiva, Masood Alam, one of the directors of the film, told UNI.
Behind every story, there is a reason and passion for fragrance, said Inaar Amir Khan, the co-director. The audience will also get to know the idea behind a particular fragrance.
Rooh, is probably the first Indian film made on this topic.
Masood Alam and Inaar Amir Khan have worked in feature and ad films as well as documentaries broadcasted on channels like NDTV and Discovery.
The movie, suitable for all age groups, will be released soon on OTT platform, the directors said.
