Doctor attacked in NIMS by patient's attendant

Hyderabad, May 20 (UNI) A day after demanding the health Minister to enhance the security for the resident doctors at NIMS ( Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences), a casualty medical officer at the hospital was attacked by a patient's attendant here on Monday.
Dr Anvesh was attacked over carrying out a CT scan of a road accident victim Nikhil. According to hospital sources, the attendants of the patient, were drunk and behaved rudely threatening doctors and nurses.
They even threatened the staff saying that they were associates of Minister Talasani Yadav. They were demanding that the reports of CT scan be given quickly despite we are on job, one of the senior official at the hospital said.
