Chennai, Jul 23 (UNI) Opposition DMK on Monday submitted a memorandum to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit demanding a CBI probe into the corruption charges allegedly against Ministers and a probe into the criminal misconduct of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for awarding highway contracts to the tune of Rs 3,120 crore to companies owned by his close relatives.
Talking to reporters after presenting the memorandum to Mr Purohit at Raj Bhavan, DMK Working President M K Stalin said the Governor assured that the petition would be sent to the departments concerned and also to the Union Home Ministry.
'We only hope that action is taken. If nothing is done, we will approach the courts', he said.
