DMK, Cong should be removed, TN people will teach them a lesson in LS polls : Modi

Tirunelveli, Feb 28 (UNI) Sounding the poll bugle ahead of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu and its key ally, the
Congress, and said both the parties should be removed and the people of the state would teach
them a lesson in the LS polls.
Addressing a public meeting at Palayamkottai in this southern city in his last leg of his two-day visit to
the State, Mr Modi said the people of the State would reject the DMK, which has been functioning with selfish interests, in the elections.
Stating that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was not biased towards Tamil Nadu, he said the TN government has been criticising for bringing any Central schemes to the state.
Accusing both the DMK and Congress of trying to divide the country, Mr Modi both these parties should be removed.
"Even if we search after the elections, one cannot find the DMK", he said and accused the DMK government in the State of not extending any cooperation to the Centre and has been scuttling all welfare schemes.
The Prime Minister said the DMK raised questions on the link between Lord Ram and Tamil Nadu. However, the DMK MPs did not participate in the debate in Parliament on the Ram temple resolution.
Alleging that the DMK had used Chinese rocket in the Kulasekarapattinam Rocket launch pad advertisement, he said the Opposition INDIA bloc has been functioning with the objective of scuttling the people welfare schemes.
Noting the BJP was aware of the problems being faced by the people in the southern India, Mr Modi said the DMK has been talking of Hindi (imposition).
"We have made L.Murugan as MP from a Hindi speaking State and a person from Dalit community from Tamil Nadu has been made a Union Minister", the Prime Minister said and charged the DMK with pursuing dynastic politics with the family members of the DMK alone holding key posts.
He said India was progressing on the path for a sustained growth and said if the country progressed 100 times, Tamil Nadu should also progress 100 times.
Alleging that the DMK was only keen on the growth of their sons, Mr Modi said "they are for their dynasties...But I am there for you (the people of TN)".
He also said that people will reject both the DMK and Congress, which warned to earn money by capturing power and people of the state will reject these selfish parties.
"People will teach a fitting lesson to those pursuing dynastic politics", he said and accusing both the parties of trying to divide the people on language and race.
He said he did not know the Tamil language, but has a lot of love and affection for the people of Tamil Nadu.
Exhorting the BJP cadres to undertake door to door campaigning in the polls, Mr Modi asserted that the BJP will win 400 seats and form the government for the third time and sought the blessings of the people.
He said he will sit in the Prime Minister's post again with the blessings of the people of Tirunelveli.
