New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) The Delhi Government on Friday urged Union Water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to take note of contaminated water supply in BJP-ruled states bordering the national capital.
In a letter written by Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Vice Chairman Saurabh Bhardwaj, the water authority in the national capital said people were complaining of jaundice, typhoid and liver-related diseases due to contaminated water.
Bhardwaj raised suspicion over the water contamination beyond the boundaries of Delhi and asked the Union Minister to look into it.
