Disha case :Telangana govt issues orders to set up fast track court

Hyderabad, Dec 4 (UNI) Telangana government on Wednesday issued orders to set up fast track court for expeditious trial in the case relating to the brutal rape and murder of young veterinarian Disha near Hyderabad recently.

Earlier in the day the High Court had given green signal to the government proposal to set up the court following which the orders were issued in this regard.

It may be mentioned that three days ago, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had instructed officials to initiate the process for the setting up of the fast tack court to ensure expeditious trial and stringent punishment to the culprits.

Meanwhile, protests by women and social organisations continued in different parts of the country demanding speedier and stringent punishment to the culprits.

Social activist Trupti Desai of Bhumata Brigade was taken into custody near the CM's camp office-cum-official residence in the city when she tried to stage a protest seeking speedier punishment to the culprits in Disha case.
