Digambar Kamat congratulates Manmohan Singh on election as RS member

Panaji, Aug 19 (UNI) Former Goa Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Digambar Kamat on Monday congratulated former Prime Minister Manhoman Singh on his election as member of Rajya Sabha.

In a tweet, Mr Kamat, an MLA from Margao, said,'Congratulations to Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singhji on being elected as a Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan. His dedication, knowledge & experience will help in well being of all. @INCIndia @INCGoa @INCSandesh.'

Dr Manmohan Singh was elected as Member of Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan on Monday. He was elected unopposed in the absence of any other candidate.

The seat had fallen vacant after death of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajasthan unit President Madan Lal Saini in June this year.
