Difference between recovered and active Covid-19 cases rises to 1,32,912

New Delhi, July 2 (UNI) India has 1,32,912 recovered cases, more than the active Covid-19 cases, thanks to coordinated efforts at all levels of government for prevention, containment and management of Covid-19 which are showing encouraging results with consistently increasing gap between recoveries and active cases.

Timely clinical management of Covid-19 cases has resulted in more than 10,000 daily recoveries.

During the past 24 hours, as many as 11,881 Covid-19 patients have been cured, taking the cumulative figure to 3,59,859 and registering a recovery rate of 59.52 per cent.

At present, there are 2,26,947 active cases and all are under medical supervision, an official release here siad.

Maharashtra continues to top the list with 93,154 cases, followed by Delhi - 59,992, and Tamil Nadu - 52,926. Gujarat which has reported 24,030 cases, is placed fourth in the link, Uttar Pradesh has 16,629 cases, Rajasthan - 14,574 cases and West Bengal - 12,528 cases, Madhya Pradesh - 10,655 cases and Haryana - 10,499 cases -- all these states have more than 10,000 reported Covid-19 infections.

As per the 'Test, Trace, Treat' strategy, there has been a steady rise in the samples tested every day with more than 90 lakh samples being tested till date. During the past 24 hours 2,29,588 samples have been tested taking the total samples tested to 90,56,173.

The testing lab network in the country is being further strengthened. With 768 labs in the government sector and 297 private labs, there are as many as 1,065 labs in the country. These include 578 Real-Time RT PCR based testing labs: (Govt: 366 + Private: 212), 398 TrueNat based testing labs: (Govt: 370 + Private: 28) and 89 CBNAAT based testing labs: (Govt: 32 + Private: 57).
