DICCI to set up 30 more business facilitation centers across country by April this year

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (UNI) The Dalit Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) will set up 30 more business facilitation centres across the country by April 14,2021, said Ravi Kumar Narra, the newly elected National Working President for DICCI, here on Monday.
Speaking about the future course of action programme of the DICCI here, Ravi Kumar said presently, DICCI has 7 business facilitation centres and this will be scaled up to 30 on the birth anniversary of Baba Sheb Ambedkar.
The Centres would come up in all State Headquarters, he said the DICCI has 30 chapters all over the country including Jammu and Kashmir and North East with 10000 member entrepreneurs.
He said DICCI today has emerged as the active player in national and state level industrial policy making bodies.
With a tag line of "Be Job Givers" DICCI wants to motivate SC, ST youth to enter the business and industry sector as entrepreneurs and to carve their own niche towards this, DICCI has entered into an MOU with IIM Shillong aimed at developing students to adopt entrepreneurship , he informed.
DICCI will not only train the young minds but will mentor them too , Ravi Kumar said the DICCI will also enter an MOU with other IITs, IIMs and Universities across the country for conduct of awareness programs and opportunities available for Dalit youths in entrepreneurship.
On the occasion of April 14 which is also the Foundation day of DICCI, we will come out with a program to develop 5000 young entrepreneurs below the age of 35 years, he said that these young entrepreneurs with ideas of new start up are being identified and presently these entrepreneurs on selection will be given Rs. 30 lakhs each for their ideas and funding will be provided for their proposed entrepreneurship.
On March 8, women entrepreneurs will be identified and given opportunities , he said that on the same day ,existing women entrepreneurs will be honoured while on August 9 on the occasion of International Tribals day, DICCI plans to develop at least 5000 entrepreneurs among the Tribals.
Speaking about problems being faced by DICCI entrepreneurs for land allotments and collateral, he said that although the Government was very forthcoming, banks were a problem for collateral and now, the DICCI will be approaching the Government to ease out these issues.
As far as Land is concerned , the Telangana Government has been forthcoming and has offered subsidies for land and other reservations , he said DICCI will request other State Governments to bring out exclusive policies for investment subsidies for Dalith.
DICCI will soon have a non banking finance Corporation to fund entrepreneurs , he informed and said that so far DICCI has funded 10000 entrepreneurs and they have a minimum turnover of Rs. 50 lakhs average each. he added.
Government of India has also been forthcoming to increase the credit limit , margin money support and Mudra 2.0 to support credit facilities, he added.
