New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) Delhi High Court will hear on January 28 an appeal filed by the publisher of National Herald Newspaper, Associated Journal Ltd (AJL) challenging an order of single judge bench of the high court directing the petitioner to vacate the Herald House in Central Delhi.

A single judge bench of the high court on December 21 had asked the Associated Journal Ltd (AJL), publisher of the Congress linked National Herald newspaper to vacate its headquarters in Central Delhi's ITO Area within two weeks.
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had filed a case against the then Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi along with Oscar Fernandez, Motilal Vohra and Sam Pitroda for their alleged involvement in massive ‘cheating and breach of trust’ in the acquisition of Associated Journals Ltd by Young Indian Pvt Ltd (YIL) as assets worth crores of rupees had been allegedly transferred for purposes other than originally intended.
In this matter, the Associated Journals Ltd had filed a plea before Delhi High Court and challenged the October 30 order of the Union Urban Development Ministry which ended its 56-year old lease and asking it to vacate the premises in the Press Enclave at ITO by November 15 on grounds of violation of lease clauses.
