Dhawan to miss remainder of Sri Lanka tour

Dhawan to miss remainder of Sri Lanka tour

Colombo, Sep 2 (UNI) Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan will miss the remaining tour against Sri Lanka as the left-hander will travel back home tomorrow to meet his ailing mother. Issuing a statement, the BCCI said,"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced that Team India opener Mr Shikhar Dhawan would be leaving for India tomorrow i.e. September 3rd to see his ailing mother." "Mr Dhawan’s mother is stable and is recovering well at the moment," the statement added. However, the board has decided not to name a replacement for Dhawan as the men in blue have already taken an unassailable 4-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. The Virat Kohli-led Team India will clash against the host for the final time in the series tomorrow before taking the Lankan side in a one-match T20I series. UNI XC-KU SHK 2014
