Dhanteras to be celebrated as Ayurveda Day in Haryana on Oct 28

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) The Dhanvantari Jayanti (Dhanteras) would be celebrated as Ayurveda Day in Haryana on October 28 and its theme would be ‘Ayurveda for Prevention and Control of Diabetes’.
Stating this here today, an AYUSH department spokesman said all the Ayurvedic Medical Officers and NHM staff would take out rallies at the level of their dispensaries and nearby three villages with the assistance of gram panchayats and schools.
Information on prevention and control of diabetes through Ayurveda would be provided to members of panchayats and other people at the culmination point of the rallies, he added. He said Ayurveda Day would also be celebrated at the district level.
