Deve Gowda to discuss Cauvery row with PM Modi after LS polls

Mysuru, April 13 (UNI) Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda is determined to address the longstanding Cauvery water dispute issue between Karnataka and its neighboring states. He plans to discuss the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Lok Sabha election results are announced.
The former PM, while addressing the gathering at Udayapura in Channarayapatna taluk, expressed his deep concern over the Cauvery water issue that has affected Karnataka for over 200 years. He stated that the tribunal's decision did not recognise the essential need for drinking water for the people of Bengaluru, which he views as an injustice.
Despite these challenges, Deve Gowda remains optimistic and determined to fight against this perceived injustice. He expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's re-election on June 4 and indicated his intention to meet with him to discuss the Cauvery issue further.
